The HNC Professional Dance Performance course will allow you to develop the necessary dance technique, performance and choreographic skills required for the Dance Industry as well as practical skills and logic required of Musical Theatre and Acting students.
The course is designed to help you build a prosperous dance technique and help you hone your singing, acting and fitness, to aid your future in the entertainment industry.
This highly practical, vocational qualification is aimed at students wishing to pursue a career in a variety of dance environments. Students on this programme can also expect to perform in front of current industry professionals during their time on the course, allowing them to engage and be seen to aid their future career.
You will study a wide variety of modules to ensure you have a diverse experience, equipping you for many progressions. All the lecturers on the Dance course are highly trained current performers with years of industry experience. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in live performances in public performance spaces.

Progression from this qualification is varied due to the fantastic and diverse programme of modules covered within the course. Students can expect to go on to further study within the fields of Dance, Musical Theatre, Acting and Performing Arts at Drama School or University.
Some exceptional students may find themselves industry-ready and some students may change direction moving forward with a wealth of experience, self and social-awareness.
Entry is by audition only. This will enable the lecturers to gain a realistic understanding of your suitability for the course and the physical demands expected.
At least one pass at Higher level is recommended, but not essential. You must have previous dance experience to access this course.
